More about Rachel
Rachel has been working in the mental health field for the last ten years with compassion, dynamics, and empathy to ensure that all of her clients reach their own degree of success. Growing up, Rachel's siblings were also considered special needs, and working with them inspired a lifelong goal of working with youth who needed assistance learning how to maintain their emotional regulation while handling teaching youth independence, socialization skills, and pride/self-esteem in their own achievements.
Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor that is Nationally Board Certified, as well as an Approved Clinical Supervisor in her field. Rachel works with all ages, stages, and abilities. It all started with an internship started at Jewish Family and Children's Services working with Geriatric Socialization and Bereavement Groups, as well as doing in-home therapy for Holocaust survivors while receiving her Master's in Community Counseling at Georgian Court University. The next several years were spent working in group homes with intellectually/developmentally disabled adults, working with the chronically Mentally Ill population of all ages, and finally ending with working with dual-diagnosed youth (developmentally delayed as well as psychiatrically diagnosed) opening the first Crisis Stabilization home in New Jersey for ages 16-20 as primary Director.
Rachel also works in home doing Intensive in the Community work with youth who are psychiatrically and developmentally disabled. Rachel is trained in BPS/SNA assessments for CSOC and Perform-care.
