Kay Carr

Kay applies psychoanalytic and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) theories in her treatment. She believes thoughts and actions are important for making life decisions, making change, and finding greater wellness. She is particularly passionate about working with the LGBTQ community as well as adults who would like to talk about aging parents, finding purpose, changing careers, and re-entry individuals. She was led into the counseling field by the position that despite struggles and roadblocks, it is never too late to change your path in life.

 

Kay is a Licensed Associate Counselor and is currently pursuing her Licensed Professional Counselor accreditation. She received her Bachelors of Psychology and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgian Court University. Kay has experience working with adults in partial hospitalization programs, youth in crisis, and family/parental support.
