UPDATE***For Horizon BCBSNJ clients, from March 17, 2020 until 90 days after the public health emergency and State of Emergency declared by the Governor, there will be no cost-shares during this time for teletherapy sessions at Perlman Counseling. Please note the Federal Blue Cross and Blue Shield cost-shares are NOT waived. If your Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plan is based out of state, please go to the website on the back of your insurance card to find out if cost-shares are waived.
UPDATE***Effective throughout the entire duration of the New Jersey's public health emergency, AmeriHealth is waiving all cost-shares for non COVID-19 telehealth/telemedicine visits with participating/in-network providers for fully insured groups and individual members from March 06, 2020 until 90 days after the end of both the state of emergency and the public health emergency related to COVID-19.
UPDATE***Effective May 28, 2020, Geisinger Health Plan will waive all cost-shares for all non COVID-19 telehealth visits with participating/in-network providers until September 30 2020.
UPDATE***Effective March 31, 2020, UnitedHealthcare and UnitedHealthcare Oxford will waive all cost-shares for all-non COVID-19 telehealth visits with participating/in-network providers until October 22, 2020.
For Aetna clients, from March 6, 2020 through September 30, 2020, there will be no cost-shares during this time for teletherapy sessions at Perlman Counseling.
Effective March 3, 2020, Humana (Commercial; NOT Tricare East) is waiving all cost-shares for Telehealth services for participating/in-network providers for the remainder of the calendar year.
Effective March 18, 2020, 1199SEIU will waive cost-shares for all non-COVID-19 telehealth visits for HOME CARE FUND MEMBERS ONLY until June 15, 2020. Telehealth services will be covered by all other 1199SIEU plans until June 15, 2020
If any other insurances waive any cost-shares, we will update this post.
If any existing patients have paid any form of cost-share for during the respective period and they shouldn't have according to their insurance company, we can hold on to the payment and apply it to the next visit that a cost-share would apply.
